Sketches of a Man

What’s Good World???

You know, with so much GARBAGE on the radio nowadays, I kinda feel a responsibility to present my readers with a taste of good, quality music every now and then….and Dwele’s new album definitely falls in the good, quality music category. I’ll spare you the homestate bragging (MICHIGAN WHAT UP THO?! LOL) and simply remind you that while you check out DWELE’S ALBUM, take a second and think about how the hip hop culture of today (pop videos, singles, image promotion, etc.) effects the Black community, for better….or for worse…

Is not HipHop that we should give up on.
We need to show the youth and this era how it could be.
U feel me?
Fans have it twisted .
Thanx for the comment
And Game is the truth on the mic.
U are correct about this era

I wish I could say that rap is the stage for us to start a social change in the Black community…but it’s not. Hip hop has become pure entertainment…and just like WWF or Survivor, while the premise is real, the action isn’t. I am the biggest proponent of helping our community thru rap (Word to the Wu, PE, De La, Talib, Mos, Jay, Nas, Slum Village, Outkast, etc.) but it’s clear that most artists of today don’t get it. If anything hip hop ain’t dead enough…

@ MIX: Well put it this way, for all…ALL…the good rappers out there, can u think of a way to show that their positive influence actually helps??? I know it sound pessimistic, but it seems like the only product of contemporary rap are tell all books from former video vixens LOL // TCS
